MIAMI MILITARY HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT ART EXHIBITION 1971

 Awarded the school's Art Award at graduation and had many pieces, (mainly pencil and pastel abstract drawings,) in this exhibition.

 

"UP AND COMING ARTIST" 1973 (App)

An exhibition held in Nassau Bahamas by a prominent National Artist to showcase young College and High School artist.

A large acrylic painting entitled "Junkanoo" was chosen for this exhibition.

Journalistic photos of various subjects, competition was open to amateur and professional photographers

My image, grainy Black and white image of the face of a journeyman boxer during a local fight won the competition.

Kodak Sponsored Photo Contest 

"A shot of life in Guatemala" 1995 (app.)

Competition was open to both amateur and professional photographers in the group of almost 300.

Competition was held during a Kodak/Distributor seminar in Guatemala.

Photographs were made with Kodak film, and printed on Kodak paper.

IN THIS MOMENT (EXHIBITION)

A large canvas print of a digital photograph of an American Indian Dancer titled "Sun Dancer" with acrylic painted accents was chosen to be in this exhibition held at the Little Haiti Cultural Center beginning on the 25th of October 2015.

 

 

LAMBDA ART HAPPENING.

A FUNDRAISING AUCTION FOR THE CREATION OF A NEW HOME FOR THE LAMBDA CENTER

Three pieces were chosen for this event.

"Caribbean Merchant" Digital photograph of a Caribbean Pirate printed on a stretched canvas.

"Blue Dancer" A digital photograph of an American Indian Dancer, printed on canvas, accented with acrylic paint to accentuate movement.

"Festival Flowers" A digital photograph with a bit of Photoshop.

                                                                                

 

ART BEAT 

AN EXHIBITION HELD AT THE LITTLE HAITI CULTURAL CENTER DURING ART BASEL WEEK, 2015, AND INCLUDED IN THEIR SHUTTLE ART GALLERY ROUTE.

Three pieces of work were chosen for this event. 

-An acrylic abstract painting of a part of an art studio table top that was previously voted "Best of Show" at the Emerging Artist Exhibition held Miami Dade College, Wolfson’s Campus.

- "Sun Dancer" A digital photograph of an American Indian Dancer printed on stretched canvas, with acrylic painted accents that was also displayed at the "In The Moment" Exhibition.

-Also an abstract acrylic painting on canvas of a Cabbage Plant.

Light Space and Time Online Art Gallery 

"Landscapes 2016 Art Exhibition"

A folk style acrylic painting was given a Special Recognition Award in this contest. There were 738 entries from 28 countries.

The aim of this gallery is to expose developing artist to decision makers in the art world, and they have over 8,000 various art representatives that are associated with the site.

Had three images, (two photographs on canvas, and one mix media of photograph and acrylic;) chosen for Art Beat; a satellite Art Show held during Art Basel 2016. Exhibit held at The Caribbean Market Place in Little Haiti., Miami.

 

SELECTED FOR ART EXPO NEW YORK (DEC. 2016)

Artavita had an online art contest with the right to exhibit in Art Expo in New York as a prize for the 50 finalist. I entered four paintings and a photo image. My work made it to the finals (out of 1038 entries) and the right to exhibit in New York in early 2017.

I  was contacted by the principals of Art Spectrum, (a large satellite art show held in conjunction with Art Basel week in Miami and South Beach;) and  invited to have my own booth.

FINALIST FOR ARTAVITA ART CONTEST (MARCH 2018)

Our of 682  artist, I made it to the final 50 for consideration for inclusion in Art Spectrum Miami December 2018. While I did not win, I was awarded a runner up certificate, and the accompanying reward.

JURIED BY THE STOCKTON ART LEAGUE  FOR INCLUSION IN A TWO MONTH EXHIBITION AT THE HAGGIN MUSEUM, IN STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA.

As one of 402 entries from throughout the U.S., my painting "Self Portrait" was chosen for this exhibition held at The Haggin Museum, in Stockton California.

WORK ACCEPTED TO LIBERTY EXHIBITION

I had a piece of Social Commentary art accepted to the "Liberty Exhibiton at Arc Gallery and Studios in San Francisco, California; running between November 10th and December 2018. The theme of the exhibition is the predjuice and discrimination displayed between Nationalities, race, sex and social stratas.
